A&P’S PHARMACIES NOW TRANSLATE PRESCRIPTIONS INTO 11 LANGUAGES WITH RXTRAN

CAMBRIDGE, MA. (November 2, 2010) – Language Scientific is pleased to announce that The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) recently licensed RxTran, prescription translation software, for its New York-based store pharmacies in response to new legislation.

RxTran allows pharmacies to quickly and accurately provide written prescription translations to their limited English proficient customers. Patients will have a better understanding of the medication’s directions, side effects, and proper use when they receive their prescription from the pharmacist. Every A&P, Pathmark and Waldbaum’s pharmacy customer will have access to medical instructions in 11 native languages including Bengali, Chinese, French, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
